Here is what to expect, start to finish.
A filling repairs a small area of decay, called a cavity, before it can grow deeper into the tooth.
We numb the area first. You will feel pressure, but you should not feel pain.
We gently remove the soft, decayed part of the tooth, leaving healthy tooth behind.
Tooth-colored material is placed in thin layers and matched to the shade of your tooth.
A gentle blue light hardens each layer in seconds.
We check your bite and polish the filling so it feels smooth and natural.
The numbness wears off in a few hours. Then treat it like any other tooth.
Your dental team is happy to walk you through every step before, during, and after your visit.
