What the video covers
- Here's what to expect when you get a partial denture.
- When several teeth are missing, a partial denture fills the space. It clips onto your natural teeth, and it comes out for easy cleaning.
- Filling the gap matters. Gaps make chewing harder, and over time, nearby teeth can drift or tilt into the open space.
- First, we take impressions or a digital scan, so your partial is made to fit your mouth precisely.
- Your partial has natural-looking teeth on a gum-colored base, with small clasps that hold it in place.
- Those clasps hug your natural teeth near the gum line, keeping the partial steady while you eat and talk.
- It may feel a little bulky at first, but most people get used to it within a few weeks.
- Take it out and clean it every day, take it out at night, and keep brushing your natural teeth too. And keep up with your regular checkups.
- If you have any questions along the way, just ask. Your dental team is always happy to help.
